I'm loving this Identikit Character Builder (very useful for plotting my new novel!)

In the Observer on Sunday, a list of the top 20 up and coming travel destinations. Hubby was most interested to see Serbia at no.14, although no mention of Kosova yet...

Also from the Observer, the demise of The Libertines, and Pete Doherty.

Currently almost about to finish this book: Empire, by Niall Ferguson. Can thoroughly recommend it, and that's coming from someone who previously didn't like history very much. A good general overview, and very readable.

Urgh. Have returned from the world of non-blogging, due to feeling excessively sorry for myself. Have picked up a horrible "d + v" bug at work, and am now bound for xmas week on the sofa, unable to eat anything but jelly babies (but on the plus side, the pounds are dropping off!).

Have found a rather good book discussion forum... have a look if you like giving reasoned opinions on books, any genre (incl. non-fiction) welcome.
