Albanian beans...

As a special flu-sufferer's winter treat, The Boyfriend is cooking me a recipe from home - Albanian beans, or "pasul" to its' friends (which, bizarrely, does not feature on this website of albanian recipes). It's basically just butter beans cooked with paprika and an onion and made into a sort of soup-type thing. We have soaked our beans overnight (v.good) and now the cooking is ready to commence... for best results boil slowly for about 3 or 4 hours. Add dried chilli to serve for a flu-busting delight! Maybe I will have a drop of that champagne after all...
